Heidi Klum’s 2026 Halloween Costume Clues: “Very, Very Bloody” and Months in the Making

Halloween is nearly here, which means one question: what will Heidi Klum be? Klum is busy preparing for her annual bash each October 31, and part of the anticipation each year is waiting to find out what she’ll wear, since her costumes are so elaborate she is often unrecognizable. Here are the clues so far. parade

Clue #1: It’s “very, very bloody”

Klum told People her costume “goes very well with red wine” and is “very, very bloody.” She also made a joke about a blood transfusion bag. She said a great glass of wine is always fun, and most of the time you think of something gory when you have a blood transfusion bag. The tease comes as she teams up with Apothic Wine for limited-edition “Blood Bags,” so part of this is a brand promotion.

Clue #2: It’s complicated

She told Bustle that her costume is “a very complicated one to the point where the maker, in the first week, was like, ‘I don’t know if I can do it.'” She said she locked in the concept before last year’s holiday even rolled around, and she leaves the heavy lifting to her longtime prosthetic designer, Mike Marino. bustlebustle

Clue #3: It’s a “return to horror”

After last year’s Medusa, Bustle described the Queen of Halloween as trading ancient myths for a return to horror. Her 2025 Medusa costume took six months to create. bustleyahoo

Her greatest hits

Past costumes have included Medusa, E.T., a giant worm, a peacock, Fiona from “Shrek,” a werewolf from “Thriller,” Jessica Rabbit and “Klum Klones.” She even brought the spirit to the 2026 Met Gala. She arrived dressed as a marble statue in a custom look by Marino, with her husband Tom Kaulitz as one of Medusa’s victims in stone. paradetoday

The not-so-glamorous part

Klum said removing prosthetics can be brutal, recalling that she’s had “chunks ripped off my chest before because they went too fast.” She also said she stops drinking two or three hours before getting into costumes that are difficult to remove. geogeo

The party

The party is 26 years old, and Klum says she comes up with her outrageous costumes herself and includes her family. The tie-in includes a fan contest to win a spot at this year’s bash. paradeparade

When will we see it?

The costume hasn’t been revealed in the reports I found. Based on past years, it’s usually unveiled at the party itself, so watch her Instagram on October 31.

Bottom line

Blood, prosthetics, and months of work. By Klum’s own description, this costume is complicated, gory, and probably unrecognizable.
