LaRoyce Hawkins has concluded his 12-year run on Chicago P.D.
The actor behind Officer Kevin Atwater, 38, marked his final episode as a series regular on the NBC drama on Wednesday, Oct. 14, in what showrunner Gwen Sigan describes as a “sendoff that felt organic to the character.”
During the second episode of season 14, “Don’t Blink,” the veteran officer, who was a patrol cop during the show’s debut season in 2014, decided to leave Chicago after a change of heart and a close call — and with an emphasis on his family.
